Lightning Wallets

Recommended Lightning wallets for LN Markets

To deposit, withdraw, or sign in via LNURL-auth, you need a Lightning wallet. Any LNURL-compatible wallet works — below are the ones we test against.

What to look for

  • LNURL-auth support — required to sign in or link a wallet to your LN Markets account.
  • LNURL-pay / LNURL-withdraw support — required for one-tap deposits and withdrawals.
  • BOLT11 invoices — every wallet listed supports these; needed for invoice-based deposits and withdrawals.

Custodial vs self-custody

TypeTrade-off
CustodialEasiest setup. The wallet provider controls your keys and routing.
Self-custodyYou hold the keys. Requires channel liquidity, but no third party can freeze it.

For active trading you can use either. If you withdraw large amounts and hold them long-term, use a self-custody wallet.
