Deposit

You can deposit BTC (on-chain or through a Lightning Network payment) and L-USDT via the Liquid Network.

Lightning Network

The fastest way to deposit. Funds are credited instantly.

1. Go to Wallet → Deposit
2. Enter amount in sats
3. Pay the Lightning invoice with your wallet

Invoices expire after 10 minutes. Generate a new one if expired.

On-chain Bitcoin

For larger deposits or when Lightning is unavailable.

1. Go to Wallet → Deposit → On-chain
2. Copy your Bitcoin address
3. Send BTC to this address

Funds are credited after 2 confirmations (~20 minutes).

Address Management

You can generate new on-chain addresses for privacy. A new address is also automatically created when your current address receives a deposit.

To generate a new address, click New Address in the on-chain deposit section.

LNURL-pay

Deposit using LNURL-pay compatible wallets:

1. Go to Wallet → Deposit → LNURL
2. Scan the QR code or copy the LNURL
3. Enter amount in your wallet and confirm

Liquid (L-USDT)

You can deposit L-USDT (Tether on the Liquid Network). L-USDT is the only asset supported on Liquid, and Liquid is available for deposits only — withdrawals via Liquid are not supported.

1. Go to Wallet → Deposit → Liquid
2. Copy your Liquid address
3. Send L-USDT to this address

Funds are credited after 2 confirmations. L-USDT deposits are automatically converted to synthetic USD (sUSD) and credited to your USD balance. You can then swap sUSD to BTC at any time.

LN Markets does not charge deposit fees. Standard network fees apply for on-chain and Liquid transactions.
